What is our policy on marijuana use?

Based on recent events within our work environment, we believe it is essential for the Company to clarify to all Schupan employees and contract workers what it means for Schupan to be a THC-friendly employer.

THC-friendly means we are no longer screening for THC during pre-employment drug tests. It is important to note that this does not apply to every job opportunity.

We are a drug-free zone.

Alternatively, a THC-friendly position does not mean it is acceptable to show up to work under the influence. Our work environment remains a drug-free work environment. Actions such as possessing, selling, trading, offering drugs/alcohol, or possessing/offering drug-related paraphernalia while on company property are grounds for termination.

We ask employees to be mindful of odors that may be offensive to coworkers.

A work-related accident could lead to a drug test.

Suppose there is a work-related accident resulting in property damage or personal injury.

In that case, you may be drug tested to confirm whether the incident resulted from being under the influence.

What you do off the clock will not affect your job status as long as it does not affect your work performance. Our goal is to balance our respect for individuals while maintaining a safe, productive, and drug-free environment.
