When I started, I think the biggest thing that shocked me was how much we actually do here. I had heard of the industrial or recycling side, but I didn’t know about the eScrap side, everything we do at aluminum & plastic sales, [or] the amount of cans & bottles that we process & return in our beverage division. It’s really cool to see how all of those unique business units come together — and to be honest, that’s my favorite thing to share to candidates.

If employees are the heart of our business, our Talent Management & Retention team is the pacemaker that keeps it going. Our TMR department is responsible for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and administering employee benefits.

TMR’s purpose is to help employees thrive while contributing to Schupan’s strategic growth. Initiatives like paid parental leave, HealthJoy (our concierge service designed to help you navigate your benefits’ complexities), our employee survey, and training programs are devised, improved upon, and implemented by our TMR team.
